Reminders and Warnings

When patient’s check in, CHIME can display warnings and reminders to patients where appropriate. This can be based on a flag in the patient’s chart, if the patient is late for their appointment, or any preparation required for their specific appointment type.

For example:

  • Patients who arrive late can be warned and directed to speak to the human receptionist

  • Patients can request human assistance (requests are sent to a separate mobile tablet or smartphone, the “notification tablet”)

  • To streamline visits, patients can be selectively provided with special pre-visit instructions, such as:

    • To provide a urine sample

    • To complete a paper form

    • To undress their child once roomed

If a patient does not explicitly acknowledge these instructions, staff can be notified via the complimentary notification tablet.
