Why wasn’t my patient auto-roomed?
If you are unsure why your patient was not auto-roomed, CHIME has a new feature where the reason that a particular patient has not been auto-roomed has been “surfaced” (i.e. made visible). This was added so that users can easily access and understand why a patient was not auto-roomed by CHIME.
You can view the reason that the patient was not auto-roomed by either (1) hovering over the patient (top images) or (2) by clicking on the patient (bottom image).
Some of the reasons why patients may not be auto-roomed:
Patient arrived really early to appointment
MD is running really behind and patient would need to wait in the room for too long (“too long” set specifically for each clinic)
No rooms available / rooms need cleaning
MD is not working / seeing patients on-site
There are too many patients ahead of this patient in the queue to be seen
